28 years of converting your travel dreams into reality!
Starting in 1996 as a small ticketing agency with a team of three to being one of the most trusted brands in the tourism industry, this journey of the last 28 years has been full of ups and downs and tremendous hard work by our team. This transformation would not have been possible without the relentless trust and consistent support of our customers.
The company was founded by our founder promoter, Ms. Meeta Shah, and in all these years we have become a preferred workplace for women chasing their aspirations. As a result, Ms. Meeta Shah has been awarded “Best Female Entrepreneur of Gujarat” at the Tourism Awards Gujarat. In addition to this we have been consistently recognized by many of our industry partners like Singapore Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, OTM, Hong Kong Tourism Board for work. The year 2019 was a landmark year when for 3 years in a row, we were recognized by Gujarat Tourism as the “Best Outbound Tour Operator of Gujarat”.
Initially, we were operated as a ticketing agency and slowing moved into curating group as well as individual holidays to South East Asia. A major milestone was achieved in 2009 when we launched our first group tour to America and Europe after which there has been no looking back.
Under the guidance of our Managing Director Mr. Sanjay Shah’s vision, we have become the pioneers of the Tourism Industry in India and are committed to the goal of becoming “The Largest Tour Operator in the World”.
Timeline
1996
New venture started with 3 team members.
1998
Started mass student ticketing, gaining international popularity.
2000
Launched the first Family FIT tour package to Southeast Asia with 12 participants.
2002
Conducted the first group tour to Australia and New Zealand.Followed by Southeast Asia group tours to Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand with a team of 12 members.
2004
Expanded our group tours to Singapore and Malaysia. Being our Managing Director Sanjay Shah, himself took passengers on tour.
2005
Launched our Website and Dubai Group tour.
2006
Launched Dubai Tours.Relocated the office from 1000 to 2500 sq ft, establishing the current Head Office.Started 1st office in Surat
2007
Launched our Customer Relationship Management Program.Launched all other countries along with Hongkong, Shenzhen & Macao.
2008
Set up the Baroda office and introduced a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) program to manage the growing clientele.
2009
Expanded our Head Office to 2nd floor and launched China departures.
2010
Started group tours to the USA and Europe.Launched a promotional event called Marco Polo.
2011
Started our office in Gandhidham.
2012
Expanded with offices in Bombay, Baroda, Chandkheda, and other franchises in Gujarat.
2013
Started our new office in Prahaladnagar, Ahmedabad. Organised MARCOPOLO event for Exotic Destination Presentation.
2014
Began offering tours to South Africa.The team grew to over 150 members.
2015
Started our 4th new office in Bodakdev, Ahmedabad & expanded VISA office as a separate one. Organised MARCOPOLO Food festival featuring international cuisines. Celebrated 20 year anniversary by going on a 1 day trip with 500 old age home people.
2016
Awarded 8 Tourism Awards by Gujarat Tourism.Implemented an ERP system.
2017
Started our new office in Nikol, Ahmedabad. Organised MARCOPOLO theme based Carnival with more than 1000 families as attendees.
2018
Won Awards for Best Female Entrepreneur of Gujarat, Best Tourism Entrepreneur in Gujarat & Best Luxury Premium Outbound Tour Operator from Tourism Awards – Gujarat.
2019
Launched the Buddha app and QOYO (Quote on Your Own).The team grew to 290 members.
2020
Team strength reached 320 with over 50 offices across Western India, including Pune.
2021
We operated domestic group departure and we also successfully gain confidence of old customers as they have seen us strong in covid. Our own customer trusted us for all our new venture and we are proud that our team took that challenge.
2022
Diversified into Educare & Technoville, and experienced a rebirth of travel post-Covid.Merged with CK Travels.
2023
We did a lot of close group & one of the biggest group moment was Vietnam & Sri Lanka. We were the first one to start chef tours in Gujarat. We open new office for Technoville (Flamingo Consulting Group)
2024
Expanded with new offices in Bangalore and Surat.Established Product office, OMG Department, HR fortification, and digital marketing.Enhanced online presence yielding positive results.
