Rome

Central Europe

Introducing Rome

Rome is the capital of Italy and a historical hotspot, brimming with life, flavors and heritage sites. The historical monuments and modern buildings stand in harmony here. Some parts of Rome’s history and culture are not prevalent anymore but physical reminders in the form of the Roman Colosseum, Roman theatres, the Roman Pantheon and theories of Roman philosophers still leave you in awe, making you imagine, for instance, what gladiatorial combats would have been like or how Greek Drama was adapted in Roman culture. While a lot of walking is necessary so you perchance experience every nook and cranny of Rome, there’s also a lot of idling that you must not feel guilty of enjoying. Rome is as much about absorbing the tremendous history of the capital of the world (caput mundi), as it is about spending time at a café and gorging, all day long. Think pizzas, pasta, gelatos and what not!
