Car Rental Terms & Conditions
- Minimum age for vehicle hire 21 years of age. Additional charges applicable if hire below 25years
- An international credit card (e.g. Visa, MasterCard, American Express) is required for insurance and bond these cannot be paid in cash and the hire must be the cardholder of the credit card. Current security bond AUD $350.00 taken with credit card imprinting at time of hire.
- An international driver's license is not required for vehicle hire in Australia as long as the license is printed in English.
- Fuel Cost will be extra, approx petrol is around $1.91, diesel costs around $1.78 per liter.
- The Speed Limit on open Roads in 100 Kms. In Urban areas speed limit is 50Kms.
- Rates quoted on a 24 hour period and include insurance (subject to excess), unlimited kilometers and GST Tax.
- Insurance excess if AUD $2550 approx inc GST Tax in the event of accident or damage to the vehicle. A credit card authorization is taken for the bond on hire initiation, and destroyed at the termination of hire, providing the vehicle is returned in the same condition. An insurance excess waiver is available starting from AUD$20approx per day to reduce the excess to AUD$250 inc GST Tax.
- Airport Concession fee will apply for any hire commencing from an airport. This fee is to be paid by hirer direct to the rental company at hire commencement. Request quote at time of booking the hire for current charges
- After hours delivery fee of AUD$30.00 applies for hires commencing after 7.00pm until 10.00pm. This fee applies to airport and hotel pick-ups and must be paid by hirer direct to the rental company at hire commencement
- GPS Navigation units are available at additional Charge of AUD$ 15 per day to payable to Car Hirer Company directly.
- Cars are confirmed per category and not by make or model, all confirmations subject to possible substitute.
- Parking charges /Toll taxes if applicable will be extra
- Make sure that you have plenty of sleep before a long drive. Take regular breaks – one every two hours.
- Do not drink alcohol before driving in Australia - drinking and driving laws are strictly enforced
