History & Culture in Manali
The History of Manali gives a whole thought of the lovely locale. As per the legends, the history proceeds from the Ramayana Period. Arts and Crafts:
One cannot visit Manali and come back home without shopping for the exquisite handicraft items. The Manali arts and crafts allure tourists from around the world to visit the hill station and splurge till the end! The most famous items available here include excellent pieces of jewelry, embroidered shawls, leather clothes and sculptures. Since Manali is sprawling with Pine and Deodar trees, the wood from their barks has been employed in the construction of the many temples and palaces in Manali.
Another popular thing that is produced using the different sorts of arts and crafts of Manali made out of wood incorporate little boxes, gems, natural product bowls and other image carvings. Another popular item in Manali is carpets and rugs! These are adorned with different designs and patterns such as floral designs and other motifs to add to the charisma of these carpets. The wool from the sheep reared here is used to make blankets and rugs.
